Express Entry
Canadian Immigration Program that allows immigrants to live and work in Canada as skilled workers through Express Entry. The new system will allow Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to pro-actively assess, recruit and select immigrants who are skilled and/or possess the relevant qualifications under federal economic immigration programs:
- Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)
- The Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP)
- The Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
The Express Entry program will also allow individual provinces and territories to use the system in order to recruit suitable candidates as part of the Provincial Nominee Programs so that labor market demands are met.
Family Class Sponsorship
Family Reunification remains a cornerstone of Canada’s immigration policy. Families in Canada can sponsor their relatives to come to Canada on a permanent basis. In order to qualify to Sponsor your relative, you have to be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident. Family Class Sponsorship Program reunites families by enabling adult permanent residents or citizens to sponsor a relative for immigration to Canada.
Agri-Food Pilot Program
The Agri-Food Pilot helps address the labor needs of the Canadian agri-food sector.
The pilot provides a pathway to permanent residence for experienced, non-seasonal workers in specific industries and occupations. It will run until May 2023.
Study Permits
Canada is home to some of the best schools in the world.
The number of international students studying in Canada is over 450,000, a figure that is constantly growing. Many of these students are choosing Canada over other developed countries because of certain advantages that studying in Canada can bring.
Individuals who study in Canada receive a top-quality and internationally-respected education, preparing them for professional pursuits in Canada or abroad.
Yet, the cost of tuition and living fees in Canada are generally lower than in other developed countries. Not only that, but education is also a popular pathway to Canadian permanent residence.
We can assist you in finding various schools and colleges as per your requirement and help you realize your dream of studying in Canada.
LMIA & Work Permits
Labour Market Impact Assessments LMIA’s, the prerequisite for Work Permits for Temporary Foreign Workers
Similarly, candidates abroad interested in immigrating, and International students whose Post Grad work permits are due to expire, need to know how to have their employer ‘sponsor’ them via the Labour Market Impact Assessment LMIA process .
Competitive Pricing, Excellent Service.
We can help you navigate this complex and exacting process, from the initial screening to see if the position and candidate are eligible for an LMIA, to drafting the ad and job description, and salary positioning, to the full application for an LMIA.
Upon successful issuance, we can then assist the foreign worker on how best to get his Work Permit in the fastest way possible.
This is a volatile program, and not for the meek or unprepared. You will require expert guidance in an LMIA application.
Provincial Nomination Programs
These are a key part of Canada’s immigration policy, with more than 200,000 people expected to obtain Canadian permanent residence through a Provincial Nominee Program between 2019 and 2021.
Provincial Nominee Programs are the fastest-growing economic Canadian immigration pathway. Over recent years, the federal government has gradually increased provinces’ annual allocations for their respective PNPs, showing the increasing importance of these programs within the overall Canadian immigration landscape. Under Provincial Nominee Programs, provinces and territories in Canada can nominate individuals and families who wish to settle in their province or territory based on criteria set by the province.
Canadian Citizenship
Requirements to apply for Canadian Citizenship have evolved over the years. One has to be updated on the changes that Immigration, Refugee, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) had in place, to avoid refusal or delays in the processing of the application.
Rural & Northern Immigration Pilot
The Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot is designed to help bring new skilled worker immigrants to smaller communities.
The five-year federal immigration pilot is designed to help smaller communities with aging populations and labor shortages, which struggle to attract and retain new immigrants.
It is a community-driven program that aims to spread out the benefit of immigration.
To be included in the pilot, communities must
- Have a population of 50,000 or less and be located at least 75km from the core of a Census Metropolitan Area, OR
- Have a population of up to 200,000 people and is considered remote from other larger cities, according to the Statistics Canada Remoteness Index.
Business, Investment Immigration
Canada offers tremendous opportunities to foreigners who want to do business in Canada. Every year, thousands of ambitious businesspeople grace our shores and there is certainly no reason why you can not be among them.
The objective of the Business Immigration Program is to encourage investment and employment in Canada through the migration of people who have the ability to successfully establish or invest in a business in Canada.
Temporary Resident Permits
Foreign nationals who are inadmissible to Canada or permanent residents who became inadmissible can remain or enter Canada on a Temporary Resident Permit.
Canadian Temporary Resident Permit (TRP) is a document that is issued to an inadmissible individual who needs to enter or remain in Canada temporarily.
TRP does not overcome inadmissibility, however, it is the way to come and stay in Canada, while being inadmissible.
Authorization To Return To Canada
If you have been the subject of a removal order from Canada you will probably need an Authorization to Return to Canada (ARC) if you want to return. Whether you need one depends on the type of removal order that was issued.
- Departure Order (form number IMM 5238)
- If you received a Departure Order and
- left Canada within the required 30 days and
- verified your departure with a Canadian immigration officer at the port of exit
- If you left the country without verifying your departure, or more than 30 days after the Departure Order was issued, the Departure Order automatically becomes a Deportation Order and you need to apply for an ARC (see point 3 below).
- If you received a Departure Order and
- Exclusion Order (form number IMM 1214B)
- If you were issued an Exclusion Order and
- 12 months have passed since you left Canada and
- you have a Certificate of Departure (IMM 0056B) showing the date you left Canada
- If you wish to return to Canada less than 12 months after the Exclusion Order was issued, or do not have a Certificate of Departure, you need to apply for an ARC.
- If you were issued an Exclusion Order and
- Deportation Order (form number IMM 5238B)
If you have been the subject of a Deportation Order you will need to apply for an ARC.
Â
Before applying, consider why you were issued an enforcement order, as well as your current situation. For example, if you were deported because you were working illegally in Canada, are not currently employed, and cannot prove strong ties to your home country, the officer is unlikely to be satisfied that you would respect the terms and conditions of your stay in Canada.
If the circumstances that led to the removal order being issued have not changed, it is less likely that you will be given permission to return.
Canadian PR Cards
Applying for your first card, renewals, and appeals for residency challenges abroad
Canadian Permanent Resident Cards (PR) are required for all Permanent Canadian residents who wish to travel abroad to establish their identity at the Port of Entry and re-enter Canada. The PR Card is valid for a five-year period. We can assist you in the process of obtaining your card for the first time or applying to extend your current one.
If you have spent a considerable amount of time outside of Canada since landing, especially in the past 5 years, you may need special counseling prior to applying to extend your PR Card. If your card has already expired, and you are outside of Canada, you need to know your rights! You would need to apply to get a Travel Document to reenter Canada, and at that point, the Embassy or Visa Office abroad may make the decision to revoke your Permanent Residence status. It is strongly recommended you consult with us prior to taking any action so you know your rights. You will also want to know if and how an appeal can be made if you are eligible.
Canada Temporary Resident Visa
A temporary resident visa (TRV) is an official counterfoil document issued by a visa office that is placed in a person’s passport to show that they have met the requirements for admission to Canada as a temporary resident.
Holding a TRV does not guarantee entry to Canada. The admission of foreign nationals into Canada as temporary residents is a privilege, not a right.
Basically, It is of 2 types. Single Entry & multiple entries. Both are valid for a fixed period and cannot be used after they expire.
Super Visa
A super visa lets you visit your children or grandchildren for up to 5 years at a time. It’s a multi-entry visa that provides multiple entries for a period of up to 10 years.
The key difference between the Super Visa & Multiple-entry Visa is that a super visa allows an individual to stay for up to five years at a time in Canada, while a 10-year multiple entry visa would only have a status period for each entry of six months only. You can extend apply to extend your stay for 2 more years after the period of five years, which makes the total stay up to 7 years.
Inadmissibility
An Inadmissible person to Canada is the one who is not allowed to come or immigrate for reasons specified in immigration law. Admissibility is one of many factors that is always assessed by a visa officer.
A foreigner may be inadmissible to Canada for past criminal convictions, criminal charges, security reasons, health grounds, financial reasons, inadmissible family member, or misrepresentation on the immigration application in the past. There are legal ways to overcome inadmissibility to Canada.
